GOD’S DESIGN
God created the world with purpose and designed people to live in relationship with Him. In His design, there was peace, meaning, and life as it was meant to be.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10 (KJV)
BROKENNESS
But humanity chose to go its own way instead of following God. This is called sin. Because of sin, the world is now broken. We see that brokenness everywhere—pain, suffering, conflict, and death.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (KJV)
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” — Romans 5:12 (KJV)
People try to fix this brokenness in many ways: success, relationships, religion, pleasure, etc. But none of these solve the root problem.
THE GOSPEL
God did not leave us in this condition.
Jesus Christ came into the world, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Through Him, God made a way for us to be forgiven and restored.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” — Colossians 1:14 (KJV)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 (KJV)
RESPONSE
When a person turns from sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ, they are forgiven and begin a new life—returning to God’s design - having a relationship with Hum!
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (KJV)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13 (KJV)
The question is: where are you in this picture?
Are you still in brokenness, or are you ready to turn to Christ and begin a new life?
HOW CAN I BE SAVED?
The Bible teaches that salvation is not earned by works, but received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
1. RECOGNIZE YOUR SIN
You must first understand that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (KJV)
2. UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCE
Sin separates us from God and leads to death.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 (KJV)
3. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST
Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (KJV)
4. REPENT AND CALL UPON HIM
Turn from your sin and call on Jesus to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13 (KJV)
You can pray and ask Him to save you. Salvation is not about perfect words, but a sincere heart.
Here is a short example prayer. However this is only an example: use your own words and pray from your heart.
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I ask You to forgive me, come into my life, and save me. I turn from my sin and trust in You alone. Amen.”
